Jerry Lewis Hensley passed away peacefully at St Francis-Penrose hospital, Colorado Springs with his daughter and son-in-law by his side on May 8, 2020. He was born Dec 11, 1930 in Covington, Tennessee. Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anne B. Hensley, daughter & son-in-law, Judy & Patrick James, son, Ted Hensley, and grandson, Ryan James. Jerry was a hard worker in the telephone business starting out as a lineman and promoted to foreman and finally to supervisor before retiring from General Telephone. Jerry grew up working on the family farm during the Depression Era and served in the Tennessee National Guard. Later Jerry and Anne moved from Tennessee to California and then to Pueblo, Colorado in 2005. Jerry was a lifelong member in the Baptist church. He taught Sunday school and was an ordained deacon since 1969. Jerry liked to socialize and visit with people. He and Anne loved to travel and camp out in their trailer. They traveled extensively and managed to visit all 50 states before retiring from traveling several years ago.
