Jeanne Cacciatore, age 99, passed away March 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Cacciatore; son, Steve Carter; and brothers, Bobby and Dick Mast. Jeanne is survived by daughters, Catherine Ann (Phil) Leyva and Kathy (Joel) MacDonald; daughter-in-law, Gloria Carter; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many others to whom she was known as "Grandma Jeanne".
Born in McKune, KS on November 2, 1924, Jeanne was the daughter of Arthur O. Mast and Bessie B. Barton. She graduated form the La Junta High School in 1942. She worked for the City of Pueblo in the Finance department for many years; retiring in 1984.
Jeanne was a member of the Epilson Sigma Alpha Sorority (an education and service organization) for 77 years. She belonged to the Beta Nu chapter which supported the Pueblo hearing project. For many years she went to local schools and tested children's hearing. She also worked to provide hearing aids to anyone who needed them.
Jeanne was a long time member of Central Christian Church and was active in Christian Women's Fellowship and Church Women United.
Jeanne was devoted to her family. She always remembered and celebrated each birthday, marriage and graduation in person or from afar. She often shared fond memories of holidays, births, and special occasions spent with family.
Funeral services will be held at Central Christian Church, 1902 N. Hudson, Pueblo, CO on Monday April 1, at 10 AM.
