Dr. James Francis “Suds” Sudduth, passed away July 29, 2014. Survived by Daughter, Linda (Cal) Martin; Granddaughter, Heather (Bobby) Huffman; Great Grandson, Hunter Huffman; Granddaughte,r Pamela (Nathan) Austin; Great Grandsons, Fischer and Trace Austin; Daughter, Sandy (Neil) Palmour; Grandson, Kyle Palmour; Daughter, Gail (Kent) Dowis; Granddaughter, Audrey Dowis; Grandson, Bradley Dowis; Daughter, Fran Brodin; Granddaughter, Chelsea Brodin.“Suds” as he was fondly known as, was born to James and Marie Sudduth, July 18, 1926, in Pueblo. He grew up in Apache until 1933. The family moved back to Pueblo and Suds attended Central High School, graduating in 1944. He enlisted into the Navy June 1944 and served on the USS Chipala. Upon his discharge, he attended Pueblo Junior College and the Loyola Dental School in Chicago, ILL. Suds received his doctorate to practice dentistry and his license in 1952. He began his practice in Pueblo in the fall of 1952. Suds enjoyed traveling, working on old cars, radio transmissions, scuba diving, snow skiing, water skiing, and time with friends and family. Suds held memberships with the American Dental Association, Pueblo Kiwanis, Elks Club #90, Eagles #145 and the Minnequa University Club. The family would like to give special thanks to extended family and friends, the care providers, Interim Health Care, and Life Care Center for all your care and attention to Suds. Memorial Service 2pm Friday, August 1, 2014 at George McCarthy Historic Chapel, 400 Broadway Ave. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the James and Gloria Sudduth Scholarship Fund C/O Central High School Foundation, 216 E Orman Ave, Pueblo CO 81004.
