James Francis Smith, 77, born August 25, 1935 and passed away August 26, 2012. Survived by his loving wife, Peggy; children, Debra (Barry) Braden, Barbara (Rob) Johnson, Julie (Tom) Cash, Mary (Keith) McKinney, Todd (Danna) Berisford and Troy (Melissa) Berisford; brother, Richard Smith; sister, Nancy (Larry) Pittenger and Annette (Donald) Hart. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Frances Smith; brothers, Larry and Daniel Smith. James served our country in the 82nd Airborne Division in the US Army. He worked for 15 years at Republic Steel in East Chicago, Indiana and 10 years at ABEX Rail in Pueblo, CO. He loved spending time with his family and traveling. He will be dearly missed. At his request no viewing. Private Memorial Service to be held at later date.
