Ida Marie Laney

Ida Marie Laney of Pueblo went to be with her Lord and Savior September 23, 2015. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado August 5, 1938 to Alfred and Erma (Martin) Agee. She graduated from Central High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Roger C. Laney in 1956 and was married to the love of her life for 57 years before Mr. Laney’s passing.

Mrs. Laney retired after many years in the waitress profession. She loved meeting and serving people from all walks of life. She also served the community as an Avon representative for many years. Mrs. Laney enjoyed reading, loved spending time with family and friends, and especially found great pride and joy in her only son, Roger.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, and brother, Jody Agee. She is survived by her son, Roger Laney of Pueblo; sister-in-law, Madge Dillon of Pueblo; sisters, Iva Haggerty of WA., Ina and husband Martin Ward of WA.; and brothers, Jim and wife Carol of CA., Jerry and wife Denise of Texas, Alfred and wife Carolyn of Idaho, and Danny and wife Barbara of Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, 329 Goodnight Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado. (719)543-5611. Mrs. Laney was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
