Grace Teresa Huff, 95, of Pueblo died after a short illness. She was born on October 3, 1916 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to John and Teresa Piner. She attended school in Colorado Springs and attended Colorado College. She married Howard Huff who preceded her in death in 1979. Grace was employed by Parkview Hospital for many years. She then had a long career working in District 60 as a secretary and attendance clerk at Central High and South High. After her retirement, she volunteered at St. Mary Corwin for the past fifteen years. In 2008, she received the Women’s History Week award for Outstanding Woman in Pueblo. She was nominated by St. Mary Corwin Medical Center for this award. She volunteered there until two weeks before her death. Mrs. Huff was active all of her life. She was a voracious reader who loved reading, word searches, magazines, crossword puzzles, and playing double solitaire with her son John. She never left the house without having a beautiful hair style, a lovely suit or dress, matching shoes and purse, and jewelry selected to match exactly. She passed on this love of fashion to all the female members of her family. She was a religious person and attended the Roman Catholic Church and the Episcopal Church all of her life. She is survived by her son John (Lillian) Huff of Pueblo and her daughter Ginny (Rod) Conahan of Fort Collins; granddaughters, Andrea (Kevin) Hall of Canon City, Teresa (Brent) Combs of Pueblo, Katherine Conahan of Denver, Molly Conahan of Fort Collins, and Megan Conahan of Fort Collins. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Miranda, Christopher, Hannah and Maci. A private family memorial will be held. Grace will be missed by her family and friends who loved her so much.
