George Robert Franz, age 80, of Fountain, Colorado was called home to be with the lord and reunite with the love of his life on July 5, 2023.

He is survived by three children; Robert (Sharon) Franz of Boone ,CO, Peggy (Wayne) Windsor of Milford, DE, Mary (Steve) Weber of Dobson, NC, and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George spent the greater part of his life serving in the U.S. Army with multiple deployments to Vietnam, being awarded three Purple Hearts among other service medals. After retiring from the Army he enjoyed life with his wife up until her passing.

George, known to most as "Pops", left a hole in the hearts of all that knew him and will be dearly missed.

A graveside service for George will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 HWY 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005 in Veterans Court of Honor.
