He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Louise, parents Robert and Alice Wiseman, brother Robert, sister Mary, granddaughter Katie, cousin Lois, and his best dog pal Barclay.
Ellis served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and worked for 36 years at CF&I. In between service and work Ellis enjoyed life. He and Louise kept busy with fishing excursions, camping trips, and family picnics. He looked forward to drives to Cripple Creek, jamming classic country for the journey. A real ham, Ellis never missed an opportunity to make a dad joke or turn something mundane into something fantastical and weird to the delight of those around him.
Ellis is survived by his loving children: Patrick (Carol) Wiseman, Michael Wiseman, Christopher (Teri) Wiseman, Lori (Kenneth) Brumbaugh, Joseph Wiseman and Anthony Wiseman; twelve grandkids; sixteen great grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Sangre De Cristo hospice and staff for their dedication and care for Ellis.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, September 12th at 6pm at Holy Family. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 13th at 10am at Holy Family, with burial to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, please make donation in Ellis’s honor to Sangre De Cristo Hospice.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.imperialfunerals.com for the Wiseman family.
