Elizabeth Joan Hobson, 74, of Pueblo, passed away on November 20, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Pueblo on January 25, 1939. Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Agnes Whalen: son, William Hobson; sister Mary Lou Flye and brother Thomas Whalen. Her survivors include her son, Robert J. Hobson and Cynthia (Roger) Van Ostrand. Grandchildren: William (Katelin) Hobson, Ashley Hobson, Mindy (Robert) Lara, James (Mallory) Peddie and Nicole (Victor) Quintana. Great Grandchildren, Mikalea Daugherty, Adam, Mikael and E. J. Ayala-Peddie, Robbie and Jacob Lara, Ailey and Zoey Quintana, Mia and Emmy Hobson. Also survived by brother Frank (Mary Beth) Whalen, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and other extended family and host of good friends. A special thanks to Danielle, you were her angel. Betty graduated from Pueblo Catholic High and went on to work as a Psychiatric Technician at the Colorado State Hospital. She was recognized with awards for her excellent care and love she gave those under her care. She enjoyed being with family and friends and loved Colorado sports teams, especially the Nuggets.
