Edward George Duran, 87, passed away peacefully in Pueblo Colorado on June 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Dorothy Garcia, his daughter Debra Engel, his brother Arnold Dorrance, his sisters Alice Mestas and Frieda Duran as well as niece Fanny Duran and nephew Gage Dorrance.
Born in Walsenburg, Colorado on December 1, 1935, he was the son of Sevedio Duran and Marcela Montoya. He attended Central High School, Pueblo and worked for many years as a truck driver for both Walters Brewery and Coors Brewing Company. Later in life he ran a successful steam cleaning business.
Ed enjoyed spending time working on cars and fishing on the Arkansas River.
He is survived by his long-time friend Roseanne Ford, brother, Gerald Dorrance (Gaby), daughter Rosie Redmond (Stephen), grandchildren Jason Engel (Mattie), Jessica Finn (Matthew) and Joseph Redmond as well as his great grandchildren Logan Engel and Robert Finn. He is also survived by Nieces Cathy Mestas, Theresa Roque, Mary Duran and Susan Duran as well as nephews Jesse Duran Jr, Kathy Mestas, Andrew Duran and Scott Dorrance, as well as his cherished sister-in-law Mary Ellen Finn and her children Liana Finn, Steve Finn, Katrina Stancheva and A.J. Finn.
A celebration of life will be held in the pavilion at Portland Park, located at the intersection of East 19th Street and North Portland Avenue on Saturday, June 10 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
