Eddie L. Hancock, 84, of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2017 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Augustine; father, Johnny Hancock; mother, Felma Hancock; brothers, Leroy, Alfreddy and Eugene; sisters, Mildred and Helen. Eddie is survived by his six children; Edward (Charlotte), Freda (Russell), Tommy (Shelly), Elmo (Peggy), Kathleen, Craig (Adeline). Nine grandchildren; Dean, Ronaleen, Cody, Taya, Jeana, Kayla, Jordan, Augustine, and Akeliah. Step-grandchildren; Shaleena, Rufus, Jerald and Leah. Five great-grandchildren; Monet, Nyleen, Jazmyn, Jayden, Jaileah. Siblings; John, Clarence, Essie, Samella, Ruthie, and a host of relatives and friends. Eddie was a Negro League baseball player. He pitched for the New Orleans Eagles and played with the Memphis Red Sox and Pueblo Dodgers. Eddie played with famous country singer Charlie Pride. Eddie loved his family the way he knew how. He gave when he could while asking for nothing in return. Eddie was also a great jokester all the way to the end. Viewing, 5-7pm Friday March 10th at Adrian Comer.
