Dorothy Rougas

Dorothy Lois Vail was born on july 31, 1943 in San Diego, California to Charles and Opal Vail. She was the oldest of three children and was the only daughter to her parents. She moved from California to Pueblo, Colorado where she graduated from South High School. She then went on to complete her Associate's degree before becoming an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Department of the Interior. In 1970, she married Tom Sam Rougas of Pueblo, Colorado they shared 52 wonderful years together, and raised 3 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Opal and Charles Val, and her two brothers; Charles Vail Jr., and Dennis Vail.

She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Tom Sam Rougas; her children Stacie Elizabeth Rougas (Eric Lane Reding), Nonie Rougas Hawkins (Beau Michael Hawkins), Samuel Tom Rougas (Alexandra Jane Ball); grandchildren Nonie Elizabeth Reding, Alexander Thomas Hawkins, Samuel Julian Reding, Vasileia Katherine Reding and Violet Elizabeth Hawkins.

Memorial Service for Dorothy will be held Friday January 6,2023 at 6:30pm at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, Funeral Service will be held Saturday January 7, 2023 at 1:00pm at St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the church in memory of Dorothy at St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church 1010 Spruce St Pueblo, CO 81004.
