In loving memory of David E. Thompson, born on May 3rd, 1979, who unexpectedly passed away on Friday, February 09, 2024. David was a truly exceptional soul, making the world brighter with his one-of-a-kind presence. His infectious laughter and willingness to be silly endeared him to everyone he met.
David's compassionate nature was undoubtedly influenced by his remarkable mother, who, like him, devoted herself to helping others. Her selflessness served as a guiding light, inspiring David to be the generous, caring soul he became. Together, they formed a family that extended beyond bloodlines, reaching out to support and uplift those in need.
He was born and raised in Pueblo CO. Attended both South And Central High School and then continued at Pueblo Community College where he received his certifications for his long time employer CS Wind.
His joy was magnified when spending time with his beloved daughters, Melanie and Marissa. Their shared love for Denver Nuggets games, exploring new restaurants, and simply enjoying each other's company created cherished memories that will forever live in their hearts.
David had a fervent love for sports, being an avid Denver Nuggets, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Angels baseball team fan. His passion for watching games brought him joy and connected him with others who shared his enthusiasm.
His vibrant personality extended beyond his family, as he forged deep connections with dear friends at the Steel City Eagles #3367. David's outgoing nature drew people in, creating a circle of friendship that brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A beacon of positivity, David had an uncanny ability to uplift those around him. His departure leaves a profound void, and the world is undoubtedly dimmer without his radiant spirit. In the wake of this loss, we remember a true friend, a loving father, and a man whose impact on those around him is immeasurable.
David E. Thompson leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and genuine connection. He will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his extraordinary presence.
David is preceded in death by his mother Judith Thompson, grandparents Philomena and Raymond Thompson, Aunts Ellen Thompson and Cheryl Thompson. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Melanie and Marissa, Uncle Ray and Aunt Gina along with countless close friends that were like family.
