On December 21, 2022, Bertha Mae Macaluso was reunited with her beloved husband for their first dance in our Heavenly Kingdom. Bertha was born in Pueblo, Colorado on October 20, 1942. Preceded in death by her husband George Macaluso, mother Ruth Sandoval and brother Paul Beltran. Survived by her children Monica, Christina (Steve), and Karyn (Chip). Her brothers Chris (Arlene), Bob (Lupe) and sister-in-law Dorothy. Grandchildren Jordyn (Jimmy), Braydon, Noelle, Bethany, Danica, and Zaydin and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bertha grew up in Pueblo, a Central Wildcat alumnus class of 1961. She met her husband at Passkey restaurant, and they married in April 1965. Family was important to Bertha. She was her children’s biggest fan at all sporting events. She loved to be with her friends whether they were bowling, going out to eat, or she was instructing their water aerobics class. She loved people. Bertha loved life, laughing, dancing, eating hot tamales and sipping on Tuaca. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A visitation for Bertha will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Imperial Funeral Home, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
