Anne Marie Decker

Anne Marie Decker, 103, of Rye, CO, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 11, 2018. Anne was born in 1915 to Manual Anselmo and Josefina Valdez Lara in Ocate, NM. Preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers (Al, Ernie, Pedro, Henry, Eddie and Charles (Chuck) Lara); her husband, Donald J. Decker; one child (Robert Decker); and one grandchild (Darlene Vaughan). She was a draftsman for P.A.D. until her retirement in 1972. She also enjoyed raising her children, gardening and canning, attending her church faithfully; and was honored as the only charter member left, at that time, for the Women’s Club of Rye. Anne is survived by her children, JoAnne Powers, Richard Decker, Ed (Debbie) Decker, and Elizabeth Olsen; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1107 Pueblo Blvd. Way, Pueblo, CO 81005. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Rye.
