Anna M. Welborn, 95, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on January 5, 2020. She was born in Meridian, Texas on June 20, 1924. Anna graduated from Walnut Springs High School in 1941 and received her Master’s degree from CSU-Boulder. She worked as a teacher for District 60 in many different schools. After retiring from District 60 she went on to teach in the McAllen, Texas school system where she worked as a media specialist until retirement.
Anna was a member of the Colorado Teacher’s Association and had a passion for dancing, bridge, playing piano, sewing and reading.
She is survived by her sons Robert (Donna) Welborn, Tom (Judy) Welborn, Jerry (Shirley) Welborn and sisters Frances Duncan and Barbara Micheli, 9 grandchildren, Dawn Schilling, Tonia Hendrich, Tiffany Dehn, Anthony Welborn, Susie Wills, Jason Welborn, Matthew Welborn, Shannon Welborn and Brenna Ruckman, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents Tom H. and Iva Marie Meglasson, brothers James Meglasson and EG (Sonny) Meglasson, and grandson Shawn T Welborn.
“Grammie”, your life was an adventure that you shared with us, fantastic road trips, summers in Texas, and Christmases spent in the mountains. You gave of yourself wholeheartedly, laughed easily and loved with all your heart. You were a kind and extraordinary woman. Thank you for sharing your light and love with us. This precious woman will be missed and never forgotten.
Visitation will be held Thursday January 9, 2020 at 11:30am with funeral to follow at 1pm at Imperial Funeral Home.
