Anna Louise (“Pat”) (Patterson) Graves, 87, arrived in San Antonio, Texas on November 18, 1929. Surrounded by loved ones, she departed on her heavenly journey from Pueblo, Colorado on April 7, 2017. She graduated from Abilene High School, Abilene, Texas in 1947 and from Abilene Christian University in 1951 with majors in voice and piano. While in college she starred in the title role of the college produced opera, “Martha.” Pat was an accomplished pianist and music teacher. She taught at Corwin and Freed junior high Schools and Fulton Heights elementary school. She also taught private music lessons to aspiring young musicians. She was multi-talented in the arts and wrote/published children’s books and created beautiful watercolor art work. For several years she sang with the Pueblo Symphony Chorale including one of the lead soprano roles in the opera The Magic Flute. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe and Annie Mae Patterson. She is survived by her husband of 62 1/2 years, Frank W. Graves; her children, Patti (Jim) Altmix, Stephen (Carolyn) Graves, Gayle (Jon) Junker and was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two older brothers, James and William (Bill) Patterson, 7 nephews and 1 niece. Viewing 2-4pm Tuesday April 11, at the funeral home.
