Angel O. Chavez, 81, affectionately known as "Orley" passed away November 3, 2023. He was born on June 25, 1942, in Boone, CO to the parents of Angel M and Emily (Mehan) Chavez. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lillian, father and mother-in-law Guadalupe and Cora Montez, brothers and sister Nick (Rosemary), Facundo (Carmen), Loren (Cecilia) Chavez, Flora (Bob) Quintana and sister-in-law Jeannette Montez-Dasler. He loved watching the Broncos
games with a Pepsi and peanuts by his side. He loved all holidays but was especially fond of the 4th of July. He loved setting off fireworks. Family was most important to him; he loved being around his children and grandchildren. Orley is survived by his children, Annette (Joel) Maes, Paula (Brian) Krohn, Derek (Lynnette) Chavez, Timothy Chavez, Honorary daughter, Darlene Baca. Grandchildren, Zack (Chelsea), Justin, Amryn (Geno), Ayden, Alexis, Dylan, Tristen (Izzy), Ashtyn, Teagan, Demery, and Monique. Eight great grandchildren Keylee, Oliver, Ambriah, Payslee, Baby Geno, Masen, Maximus, and Carter. Brothers and sisters-in-law Sonny, Diana, Guadalupe, Sue, Valerie, Wayne, Dwayne, numerous nieces, nephews, & relatives.
Funeral mass will be at 9:30 AM, Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
