Alice Waide

Alice Waide, 89, passed away August 31, 2011. She is survived by her 4 children Sherri Mueller of Heath, Texas, sons Phillip (Vicki) Waide of Cotopaxi, Colorado, Lloyd (Maggie) Waide of Pueblo, Colorado and Martin (Robert Gustafson) Waide of Aurora, Illinois; 9 grandchildren Charles (Diana) Mueller of Dallas, Texas,Mike Randel of Salina, Kansas, Laura Waide of Sterling, Colorado, Brandi Oreskovich of Greely, Colorado, Christopher Waide of Cotopaxi, Colorado, Daniel Waide of LaGrange, Wyoming, Teresa Schafer of Pueblo, Colorado and William Schafer of Pueblo, Colorado; 13 great-grandchildren Charlotte Mueller, Timothy Prokop, Kieffer Gilbert, Scott Mueller, Robert Mueller, Kurt Mueller, Brittany Randel, Courtney Randel, Cody Randel, Dawson Randel, Alissa Randel, Calista Garcia, Jaiden Garcia, Tenlee Oreskovich and two more on the way. Alice is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children Allen Waide, a sister and her parents.

Alice was a Registered Nurse at the state hospital for many years also at Belmont Lodge and at the Villa Pavilion. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and was named Woman of the Year in 1974. Viewing will be Monday 4-7pm, funeral service Tuesday 2:00 pm both at Imperial Funeral Home. Cremation to follow with a private family inurnment at Imperial Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CSU Pueblo Foundation for Nursing Department Scholarship through the Funeral Home office.
