Albert “Bo” Hunter, 84, passed away February 17, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel “Alice” Hunter; daughters Feryl (Brien) Webster and Janelle (Jody) Swartz; grandchildren Justin (Kristin) Hiza, Levi Hyland, Savannah Hyland and Lauren Swartz. Bo was preceded in death by his daughter Laura Beth Hunter, brothers Milford and Howard, half siblings Earl and Frankie and his parents Frank and Dora Hunter. He served in the Army in Japan during WWII and worked in the oil fields in Texas and New Mexico in his early adult life. Bo farmed for 10 years and was a truck driver for 29 years. Bo and Alice lived in Boone for over 60years where they were members of Avondale United Methodist Church. In recent years they attended the First Presbyterian Church in Pueblo. Later in life they enjoyed traveling together and spending time sightseeing, camping, fishing and making friends from around the country. He was a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Avondale Lions Club. Bo was a “rancher” at heart and took great pleasure in raising animals and tending to crops. His most joyous moments were those spent with his family and friends celebrating special moments, occasions and everyday life. Memorial contributions may be made either to Avondale United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church or to Sangre de Cristo Hospice in his name. Viewing will be Monday 2-4pm, Imperial funeral home, funeral service Tuesday 2 pm First Presbyterian Church.
