Okolowitcz, II, Walter J. "Okie", 82, of Crescent Avenue, died Friday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Banach) Okolowitcz. They were married for 59 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Walter and Veronica (Kolon) Okolowitcz. Walter was employed as a shipping clerk at Gorham/Textron Manufacturing Company for 42 years, retiring in 1989. Besides his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Sandra Lovejoy of Narragansett and Debra Marschall of West Warwick; five grandchildren and one great grandson; two brothers, Paul Okolowitcz of Cranston, William Okolowitcz of Florida, and a sister, Dorothy Zuba of Greenville. He was also the father of the late Walter J. Okolowitcz, III. His funeral will be held Tuesday, at 8:45 am from the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) WARWICK. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am in Saint Ann Church, 1493 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be TODAY, September 13, 2010 from 4-8pm.
