Virginia L. (Ginny) Lind, 68, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, RI, following a brief illness. She was born to the late Belva M. (Archambault) and John H. Lind at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, and moved shortly afterwards with her family to Rhode Island. The family soon moved to Granby, CT and later to Millbury, MA where Ginny graduated from Millbury High School. She lived in Millbury and Worcester, MA until moving to Florida where she worked for the City of Largo library. In retirement, she moved back to Rhode Island to be near family and where it is more likely to snow than in Florida.
Ginny loved all animals, especially cats, and was an avid reader and photographer. She used her pictures for many computer graphic projects. Her major love, however, was the Red Sox, watching nearly every game she could on TV. She was very excited (at last!) to witness four championship seasons. During baseball season, she was usually wearing Red Sox attire, but also loved dressing for every holiday throughout the year.
Ginny is survived by two sisters (Lorri Caruso Byrne and Diane Lind) and four brothers (Bob, John, Richard and Eric Lind), her brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag, RI, for their excellent care of Ginny in recent months. They also thank the emergency and intensive care staff at Landmark Medical Center for their care during Ginny’s final illness.
Arrangements are by Romano Funeral Home, Providence. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland, at the convenience of the family.
