Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Victor J. and Ann R. ( Clancy ) Riccio. He graduated from Hope High School, and attended Rhode Island College.
Vinny worked in manufacturing for many years, and was regarded by his employers and coworkers as diligent, hard-working, and friendly. Vincent was most proud of his job as security officer at Foxwoods Casino. He made many friends, and was very active in the Westerly community. He enjoyed traveling, country music, and was an avid local sports fan. Vincent had an amazing memory. He could always recount names, dates, and places that were significant to the family. He made it a point to remember all of the names of the health care professionals who cared for him at Golden Crest Nursing Center, where he resided after a long illness. As one CNA put it, "Everybody loves Vinny."
Vincent is survived by his siblings, Carol A. Riccio, John M. Riccio, Eugene D. Riccio, (ret. P.P.D.), Kenneth V. Riccio, (ret.P.P.D.) and his wife Laurie, David P. Riccio, (ret. U.S. Dept of Homeland Security) and his wife Stefanie, and four nieces and nephews, Elizabeth A, Riccio, John F. Riccio, Catherine A. Riccio, and Grace F. Riccio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a time to be announced.
