Vincent L. Greene, III

Vincent L. Greene, III, 81, of North Attleboro, MA., Narragansett, RI, and Sanibel Island, FL, passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2023. Vincent previously resided in Cumberland, RI for 37 years, where he and his wife raised their three children. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Coyle) Greene for 59 years.

Born in Providence, in 1942, Vincent was the son of the late Vincent L. Jr. and Barbara (Whitmarsh) Greene.

Vincent was the Co-Owner and Vice President of Operations for Cape Cod Express Inc. and SAV Transportation Services for 40 years prior to his retirement. Vincent was a graduate of St. Pius V School, LaSalle Academy, and Providence College. Vincent was a member of the Providence College Alumni Association, Kirkbrae Country Club, and Bonnet Shores Beach Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Allison Wilk, RN (Walter), Pamela Greene, and Vincent L. Greene, IV, Esq, (Kimberly), his granddaughters, Caroline Wilk, Elizabeth Wilk, Abigail Wilk and Victoria Greene, and many cousins and dear friends. Vincent was also the Godfather to Suzanne (Zigas) Rossi, Roderick A. McGarry IV, and the late Ellen (Barber) Lookabill.

His Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25 from 4-7 PM, at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Funeral Tuesday, September 26 at 8:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Pius V. Church, 240 Eaton St, Providence, RI. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, RI.
