Thomas F. Quigley, 74 of Warwick, passed away peacefully at the West Shore Health Center on Monday, November 3, 2014 under the care of Gentiva Hospice. Born in Providence, he was the loving son of the late Thomas E. Quigley and Claire J. (Collins) Quigley also of Providence. Tom was the devoted husband of Margaret Mary (Jemery) Quigley and dear father of Timothy Quigley, and his wife, Kimberly, of Johnston, and Colleen (Quigley) Stevenson, and her husband, Michael, of Cranston. Tom was a 1959 graduate of LaSalle Academy and a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He was a long-time employee of the Providence Journal, having worked in the advertising department for forty-one years, before retiring in 2001. Tom was a troop leader for Boy Scout Troop 15, St. Timothy’s Parish in Warwick for many years, and an avid woodworker who enjoyed volunteering his skills and time at the Pilgrim Senior Center in Warwick. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two sisters, Carol (Quigley) Harnois, and her husband, Roland, of Ormond Beach, FL, Mary Ann (Quigley) Patkoske, and her husband, Michael, of Yarmouthport, MA; two brothers, Robert Quigley, and his wife, Joan, of Johnston, and John Quigley, and his wife Ellen, of Freedom, NH, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Thomas F. Quigley, Jr. and Tammy J. Quigley and brother of the late James Quigley, of Edgewater, FL. He will be dearly missed by all. Tom’s funeral will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 8:30 am, from the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117 – Exit 10 off I-95) Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
