Born in London, England in 1937, she was a daughter of the late Evelyn Jessie (Fenn) White and Charles William White. She immigrated to Rhode Island in 1964, living in Providence until her passing. Sheila worked in the accounting department at B.A. Ballou & Co. for many years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of Ireland’s 32 Society and communicant of St. Raymond Church for over 50 years.
Sheila is survived by her sister Eileen Wright (late husband Bill) of Australia, her sisters-in-law Linda White of England and Myra Gillen of Pawtucket, RI, and her brother-in-law Michael Madden (wife Mary) of Ireland. She was also the sister of the late Michael, Patrick and Brian White of England, and she leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Sheila on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. At Sheila’s request, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Raymond Church.
