Sharon Jean Maine

Sharon J. Maine, 54, of Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021 with family by her side.   She was the daughter of the late Orrin A. Maine Jr, and Irene P. (McSweeney) Maine    Sharon was born in Providence, RI.  She graduated from Central High School and worked at Citizens Bank before taking on her beloved role as Mother to her children.   She loved her family and had a huge heart.   She became guardian of Noah Pina when he was 2 years old.  

Sharon lived a beautiful and full life.   She was loving, kind and faithful.   She never carried hate or spoke a bad word about anyone she met.   Sharon had many hobbies in life including singing, dancing, a loyal Patriots fan and spending time at Roger Wheeler State Beach.  Sharon was a devoted mother and lived for her grandchildren. 

She was the beloved mother of April L. Maine of West Warwick, Amy and her husband Justin Girard of Cranston, Edward C. Maine of Central Falls,  and Noah R. Pina of Providence, her grandchildren, Aaron and Arya Girard; her siblings, Christine Maine, Cynthia Wall, Mary Ellen Powers, Stephen Maine and Patti Ells.   She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Irene Fasano; And many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Thursday, 4 – 8 pm in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 549 Plainfield St., Providence.  Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
