She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Louise (Rubiera) Leitao.
Rose was a lifelong communicant and secretary for 40 years at the Mary, Mother of Mankind Church as well as a hairdresser for many years.
More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was the loving mother of Donna Celona and her husband Matthew Contreras; adored sister of Donna Furtado, Hilda “Chickie” Gardiner, Diane Johnson, Patricia Lawrence, and the late Maureen Leitao; cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews; and great-aunt of several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her visitation will be held Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Forth St, North Providence. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
