Rose Rita Mancini

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Perrone) Messineo, and had been the wife of the late Salvatore “Sully” Mancini.

Rose had worked as a supervisor at Coro Manufacturing for many years before retiring.

She was the beloved mother of Peter S. Mancini (former Providence Council President); sister of the late Charles and Carlo Messineo, Carmella Parrillo, Lena Bianco, Marie Russo and Viola Guglielmo; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. with a funeral service on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
