Robert Charles Ferry

Robert Charles Ferry, age 76, of Marcoux Way, Oakland, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022 in the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of 54 years to Barbara Ann (Tomaselli) Ferry.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George F. and Queenie I. (Douthwaite) Ferry and brother of the late George H. Ferry.

Bob was President of Douglas Landscaping from 1984 until his passing. Prior to that, he had worked for Brown and Sharpe in Esmond until being drafted.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and after being discharged, Bob returned to college and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson & Wales. He loved his family more than anything and loved going to the Casinos with Barbara and his cousins Cheryl and Frank.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Brenda L. Ferry ESQ of Pascoag and Bethany A. Steere, Photographer, and her husband, Officer Aaron L. Steere of Chepachet; two grandsons, Aidan R. Steere, who was his right hand man and Brady L. Steere both of Chepachet and his dog, Spartaco Pooh.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Graveside burial with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
