Robert A. “Bob” Arena, age 72, of Johnston passed away on September 28, 2022. He was the beloved husband of 25 years to Karen A. (Paiano) Arena.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Bruno and Yolanda (Leoncavollo) Arena.
Bob was well established in the automotive industry for many years. He began his career with the former Pierce Chevrolet in Pawtucket and later worked for St. Angelo Buick in East Providence and before he retired he was with the Hurd Automotive Group in Johnston.
He was the father of Kevin Arena (Stephanie) and Heidi Gray (Reginald) and cherished grandfather of 5. He was also the brother of Carol Rosen and the late David Arena; and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with the family in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
