She was beloved wife of the late Joseph V. Riccardi, Sr. and loving mother of Rhonda Riccardi, Krista A. Lamoureux and her husband Steven and Joseph V. Riccardi, Jr. and his wife Nancy with whom she resided. She was the cherished grandmother of Anthony, Shane and Giabella and great-grandmother of Talia. She was the sister of Leonardo Solitro, Jr. and the late Bella Chiavarini and Frank Solitro.
Rita worked for the State of Rhode Island Department of Elections in the Campaign Finance Department for 26 years before retiring.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
