Rita C. (Richards) Mollicone Kelly, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 9, 2022 at Kent Regency Center, just two weeks shy of her 90th birthday.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Mollicone and Thomas Kelly. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George and Christine (Wheaton) Richards.
Rita was the former owner of Jimmy’s Lunch in North Providence with her husband and son-in-law.
Rita was a resident of Cranston and previously lived in Johnston and Narragansett. She was the beloved mother of Sandra Cheney; loving grandmother of Kristen, Nicole and Julian Cheney Jr; cherished great-grandmother of Alysia, Shyla and Francesca. She was the sister of Ann Marie Passarelli and the late George, Vincent, Louis, Mildred, Robert, and Roland Richards. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Julian Cheney.
