Richard R. Rizzo, 77, passed away September 30, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Sandra M. (Wisdom) Rizzo for 54 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Virginia (Romano) Rizzo. Richard was the loving father of Kimberley Pastina and her husband David, and Cheryl Rizzo. He was also the brother of Marcia Pandozzi.
Richard was a member of the Laborers’ Union Local 271 and the Disabled American Veterans, Mt. Pleasant Chapter 21.
Visitation and funeral, Saturday 8-10 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAV, Mt. Pleasant Chapter 21, c/o 21 Hunters Run, North Providence, RI 02904.
