Richard A. Ferrara Jr., 52, passed away accidentally March 29, 2016. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Ann Marie (D’Angelo) Ferrara and the late Richard A. Ferrara Sr.; loving brother of Lynn Adamczyk; and uncle of Joseph E. Adamczyk. He is also survived by his beloved dog Bella and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Richard was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Boston College and received his Master’s degree from Cornell University. He was a customer service supervisor for Verizon for the past 9 years. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and loved by all who knew him.
Visitation and funeral will be held Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Graveside burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 146 Clifford Street, Providence, RI 02903.
