Richard J. Doddio

Richard J. Doddio, 62, of Providence, passed away Monday morning at Bannister Center, surrounded by his closest loved ones. He was the former husband and dear friend of Joanie L. (Savard) Doddio.

    Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Paul and Eleanor (Roskosky) Doddio.   

Richard was a computer programmer for Citizens Bank for many years, and Hospital Trust National Bank. He was a graduate of Rhode Island College.

In addition to his dear friend Joanie, he leaves a son, Jeffrey R. Doddio and his wife Ali Smith; half sister Patricia Byron; mother in law Dorothy Savard, sister in law Dorothy Chace; godmother Patricia Paolantonio; two nieces, Jennifer Mercurio and Devon Jeanne Chace; a nephew, Albert Chace and a great niece, Ellie Mercurio, he also leaves behind his favorite little cat.

The funeral service will be held Friday evening, at 7:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Visiting hours will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
