Raymond N. Renzi

Raymond N. Renzi, 86, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2016. He was the husband of the late Gilda A. (Lonardo) Renzi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Camillo and Carmella (Della Valle) Renzi. He was the beloved father of Cheryl Deware and her husband Steven; cherished grandfather of Kristin Tessier and her husband Jeffrey; and the loving great-grandfather of Justin and Kendall Tessier. He was also the brother of the late John Renzi.

Mr. Renzi was proud that he spent his entire 50 year work career at the Almacs Supermarkets, starting as a stock boy and finishing in their executive offices as their Dairy and Grocery Buyer. He was a member of the Providence YMCA Men’s Fitness Center, Kirkbrae Country Club and the Knights of Columbus. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards with his long-time friends.

Visitation and funeral will be held Monday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. from PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston followed by entombment in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
