Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond W. and Frances (DiMeo) Ciarlo.
Raymond was an Assistant Superintendent of Train Movement for the National Railroad Passenger Corp, better known as Amtrak, for 43 years before retiring. He also owned and operated Admiral Industries for many years.
Raymond had an overwhelming warmth and love for connecting with people which was palpable. He spent the majority of his time surrounded by friends and family. He loved to travel with his wife of 46 years and was passionate about his career and family. He lived life for the special moments.
He was the loving father of Raymond Ciarlo and his wife Dawn, Stephen Ciarlo and his wife Christen, and Dr. Michelle Ciarlo Jones and her husband Christopher and cherished grandfather of Kylie, Brendan, Joseph, Matthew, Gavin and Mackenzie. He was also the brother of Ronald A. Ciarlo and his wife Elissa.
His visitation will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
