Raymond J. Ambrose

Pawtucket Raymond J. Ambrose, 79, of Pawtucket, died Tuesday evening, January 17, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket. He was the husband of the late Eileen R. (Maguire) Ambrose. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Stella (Koziusko) Ambrose. Raymond was a construction and maintenance electrician at Texas Instruments, Inc., in Attleboro, Massachusetts, for thirty-two years, retiring in 1997. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, and also served in the Rhode Island National Guard. Ray leaves two sons, Mark C. Ambrose and his wife Mary Ann, and Christopher M. Ambrose and his wife Michele; two grandchildren, Shelly and Vincent Arruda; and two great-grandchildren, Brianna Arruda and Anthony Dupuis. He was a brother of the late Irene Torgan. He also leaves his beloved cat, "Sammy". The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Joseph Church, 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Burial, with military honors, will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Sunday, 4 - 7 pm.
