He was the son of the late Philip G. and Dorothy (Haesler) Judge; husband of the late Luisa (Mennella) Judge; father of Carleen Pineau; grandfather of Joshua, Deanna, Danielle, Desiree, and Jonathan; great-grandfather of Jace, Daizy, Caleb, Zara, Darla, Harley, Carter and Evan; brother of Frank, James and Helen Judge, and the late Phyllis DiTomasso, June Ververis and Marie Carbone.
Philip had worked as a carpenter for many years before retiring. He served proudly in the Rhode Island National Guard for 32 years as a 1st Sergeant of the 103rd Field Artillery on North Main Street Armory and also Cranston Street Armory. Honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant receiving the Army Achievement Medal. He not only served in the Rhode Island National Guard and Carpenter's Union but also worked many years and later helped run the family business, Phil Judge Florist in Barrington for over 50 years with his sisters Helen and June.
He was an avid boater and Captain of the Bobalou and Carleen too! He enjoyed vacations to Martha's Vineyard every summer.
He was a devoted father, loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the pillar of the family. He will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a service at 10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
