Peter Michael McAuley

McAuley, Peter M., age 62 of Houston Ave, passed away at his home on September 1, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Joyce) McAuley. Born in Gardner, MA he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Evelyn (Lynn) McAuley. Before retirement, Mr. McAuley was employed by the Providence Journal in the advertising dept., and also with E.T. Johnson & Costello Brothers, in the sales dept. He was a 1967 Graduate of LaSalle Academy, and a 1971 Graduate of Bryant College. He was a member of the Cranston Council # 1738 Knights of Columbus. He was the founder and president of Eagle Athletic Club, a charitable organization. He was proud of his Irish heritage,an avid NE sports fan, and was a friend to all he met. Besides his wife of over 28 years, he leaves a sister, Sally A. McAuley and a brother Paul J. McAuley both of Cranston, uncle of Ashley McAuley, Lisa and Jacqueline Edwards, Joseph and Matthew McAuley, and Peter Edwards. He was also the brother of the late John J. McAuley, PhD. His funeral will be held on THURSDAY at 8:30 am from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett.
