Patricia Ann Drohan (Aylesworth) 84, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, March 7, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Drohan, Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Chester F. and Rose A. (Smith) Aylesworth. Patricia worked as a bus monitor for the Providence School Department for 20 years, prior to retirement. She enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years, swimming, and bowling. Most of all she cherished her loving family. She leaves a son, Robert J. Drohan, Jr. (Ret. Det. PPD) and his wife, Maria (Bianco) of Cranston; two daughters, Kathleen E. Drohan, with whom she lived with, of Providence, and Maureen E. Drohan, and her husband, Carmine Porreca, of North Providence; a brother, Terrence Aylesworth; a sister, Elizabeth Hammett; and her five beloved grandchildren, Alexia and Darrius Drohan, Gianna and Natalia Porreca, and Robert M. Drohan. Patricia was the mother of the late Nancy A. Drohan and sister of the late Chester Aylesworth, Jr., James Joseph Aylesworth, Barbara Henry, Dorothy Corley, Marylou Patton, and Carol Payne. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Matthew Church, corner of Elmwood and Park Avenue, Cranston. Interment will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
