Coventry Michael T. Tinglay, 47, of Fen Way, died peacefully Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family and members of the original Phoenix family. He was the husband of Lisa A. (Carey) Tingley. They were married for twenty-two years. Born in Providence, a son of John and Ethelyn (Sanna) Tingley, he lived in Coventry for twenty-one years. Mike was a project manager for Lindsey Lamposona Construction Company for the past seven months, and he previously owned Tingley Concrete Construction Company for many years. Mike was well known in girl's softball leagues, and was a founder and coach of the New England Phoenix Girls Softball Team. For the past six years, he had a positive effect on his players, many of who are successful college athletes today. Beside his wife Lisa, he leaves a daughter, Jordan S. Tingley; a son, Austin M. Tingley; two brothers, Christopher Tingley and Kevin Tingley; a sister, Kerri Luffborough; and several nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late John Tingley. The funeral service will be held Thursday, at 2:00 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick, to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours prior to the service on Thursday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
