Born in Providence, Rhode Island and raised on Federal Hill, his parents were the late Michele and Mary (Proccacini) Bianco.
He was the devoted father of Frank Bianco, his wife Michelle, Cynthia Cipolla, her husband John, Maria Drohan, her husband Robert, and Lisa Bianco. He also leaves behind the loves of his life, his grandchildren, John and Bianca Cipolla, Bobby Drohan, Alyssa Bianco, and Angelina Bianco.
He was the loving brother to the late Angelina (Bianco) McLynch, Salvatore, Frank, Joseph and Anthony Bianco; the beloved brother in law of Teresa Casalino, Jean Ranucci, Joan Bianco, Benny, and Charlene Copponi; the late Joseph Casalino, Richard, Anita, and Michael Ranucci.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he cared deeply for and loved.
Michael worked for the City of Providence for over 35 years serving many departments. He retired as a General Supervisor in the Parks Department. He was proud of his heritage as an Italian-American. He was born and raised on Federal Hill, where he also established his family. Everyone on Atwells Avenue knew Mike because he shopped there daily. He instilled old fashioned family values and enjoyed every holiday, especially Christmas Eve. Mike was a lifelong New York Yankee fan.
Michael's Funeral will start Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 8:15 am in the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave, Providence. Graveside Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home from 8:00-10:00 am the morning of the Funeral.
