Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Porter) Egan.
Maureen was a switchboard operator for Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for many years before retiring.
She was a woman with a heart of gold, and her generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Her devotion to her family was unforgiving. Although Maureen’s health was failing for the last year, she stayed strong. Never wanting to give up, she fought until the very end.
She was the loving mother of Anastasia Calise, Kirsten Calise and her companion Rick Santagata and Cathy Hopkins and her husband Bob and cherished grandmother of Anthony, Gianna, Sofia and Zachary. She was also the sister of Patricia Manocchia.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial to follow in the R.I. Veteran Cemetery, Exeter.
