Mary L. Jones

ProvidenceJones, Mary L. (Farrell) 85, of Hudson Street, died Sunday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Jones. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Helen M. (Murray) Farrell, she had been a lifelong city resident. Mary was a customer service representative for the Narragansett Electric Company for thirty-five years before retiring in 1987. She was a graduate of Central High School and a communicant of Saint Mary Church, Broadway. Mrs. Jones was a loving, kind, and caring person who loved her family and many friends, and will be missed by all of them. She leaves a son; Donald F. Jones, Jr., with whom she lived, of Providence, a sister; Eileen P. Lewis of Greenville, a brother; Alfred M. "Archie" Farrell of Providence and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Henry J. Farrell, J. Vincent Farrell, Gerald F. Farrell, and Dorothy A. Farrell. The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Mary Church, 538 Broadway, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
