Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Daisey F. ( Herring ) Gordon.
Mary was a gift from God her whole life to her family.
She attended Our Lady of Mercy, The Prout School and Johnson and Wales University graduating with honors.
Being disabled for 43 years, living in pain, and overcoming adversity she traveled throughout 7 countries in Europe traveling on the Queen Elizabeth II and the Concorde. Mary also traveled to 40 of the lower 48 states on 12 different cross country trips to various shrines.
She taught religious education for 6 years at St. Rose of Lima School in Warwick.
Mary was a devout defender of the faith and was blessed with the gift of bilocation, visions, graces and miracles. She was a benefactor of shrines and churches around the country and world.
Mary was the blessed and beloved sister of Ann M. Gordon with whom she lived in East Greenwich.
Her funeral will begin on Tuesday, January 7 at 8:45 from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul, 30 Fenner Street, Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
