Maria A. Banks

Maria A. Banks passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI. She was born on April 22, 1962 to Raymond and Jeannette Valeriana, the seventh of nine children, Michael Valeriana, William Valeriana, Judith Wieland, Lora Reyes, Raymon Valeriana, and Karen Huntley. She was the sister of the late David Valeriana and Janice Flynn. She is survived by her former husband Rickey Banks, children, Maria Piccardi, Melissa and Mya Banks, and her grandchildren, Mia & Mariah Banks and Giuliana and Bella Piccardi.

She worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 25 years up until her illness.

Her hobbies included cooking and baking, and enjoyed watching the Ree Drummond cooking show "Pioneer Woman."

Maria was a kind and generous person, she was an animal lover, especially fond of cats and dogs.

She admired our 44th President Barack Obama, and his wife Michelle and family.  She will be missed by all who knew her.
