COVENTRY - CAPALDI, Madeline Doris, 89, of Powhatan Street, died Thursday at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre. She was the wife of the late Joseph Capaldi. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Gilligan) Madison, she had lived in Coventry for 40 years. Mrs. Capaldi was an avid traveler, and enjoyed both sewing and baking. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends, as well as going to the theater and concerts. She was a communicant of the former St. James Parish, Artic. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. Truppa of Coventry and Cynthia Capaldi of Cranston; a brother Arthur Madison, Jr. in Kentucky; her sisters Claire Dunphy of Hope and Mary Zappini of Pennsylvannia and her beloved grandchildren Andrea and Jonathan Truppa and Andrew and Faith Fiorenzano. She was the sister of the late Joseph Madison. Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. John the Baptist Church, 20 Washington St., West Warwick. Visitation Monday 5-8 pm.
