Along with his wife he is survived by his son, William L. Charello Sr. and his wife Deborah, his grandchildren William L. Charello Jr. and Stacy Fuoroli and 3 great-grandsons. He is also the brother of Mike, Walter and Bernard Charello, Ellen Hawksley, Carolyn Charello and the late Ralph and Betty Ann Charello, Claire White, Patricia Baldino and Alice Veder.
Louis was a WWII Navy Veteran. He proudly served on the LST 134 and was involved in the Normandy invasion. He retired as a truck driver for Teamsters Local 251 and was a volunteer for the Geneva Fire Department. He was also an active member and usher with the Holy Name Society at St. Anthony Church. Louis was an avid bowler and a die-hard Red Sox fan.
Visitation and funeral Thursday, 9-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Graveside burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
